Terms of Service

The service

Impersonation Guard (the Telegram bot @impersonation_guard_bot) is provided “as is”. It looks for accounts that copy the name, @username or avatar of a chat's admins or of the chat itself, and bans them or asks the admins. Detection is automatic: it can miss an impostor or take someone else for one, and nothing is promised beyond what these terms say.

To work, the bot has to be an admin of your chat with the rights to delete messages and ban members. Every ban comes with an Unban button in the admins' notification.

Plans

  • Free: chats of up to 500 members.
  • Trial: a chat over 500 members gets 14 days of full protection, once per chat.
  • Pro: automatic bans in one chat (a channel and its discussion group count as one), 500 Stars every 30 days.
  • Network: the same for up to 10 chats, 2 500 Stars every 30 days.

A chat over 500 members with no trial or plan gets requests instead of automatic bans: the bot still spots impostors and asks the admins what to do. The size of a chat is the larger of a channel and its discussion group.

Payments

Plans are paid with Telegram Stars, inside Telegram, and renew every 30 days until you cancel. You can cancel the renewal any time with /plan in a private chat with the bot: the plan stays until the end of the period you paid for. By paying, you agree to these terms.

Refunds

On request, we refund the payment for the current period if protection didn't work as described. A refunded subscription ends and does not renew. How to ask: send /paysupport to the bot.

Prices

Prices may change, and we announce a change beforehand. A new price applies to new subscriptions: a subscription you already have keeps renewing at its price until it's canceled.

Questions

Send /paysupport to the bot: it shows how to reach support. Telegram's own support can't help with purchases made in the bot. What the bot stores about you and your chats is described in the Privacy Policy.
